There is nothing I love more than a good story. Film, television, video games, even the occasional book. I've been told I'm a good writer, but we'll see. I've acted in high school, dabbled in college, but right now I write. Whether any of my ideas will be made into films or TV shows is anyone's guess. BUT, I'll share my ideas with y'all just the same. These ideas are pretty uncensored. Fair warning. DISCLAIMER: the actors SUGGESTED for my characters have nothing to do with me...yet.

PG-13 Power Rangers
Does anyone else think Power Rangers has potential for a young adult audience? Realistic violence, mature themes, scarier villains. More faithful to the tokusatsu Super Sentai. More adult sci-fi than juvenile fantasy. Marvel Comics plus Animorphs plus Matrix plus Doctor Who. War, death, freedom, survival, love, innocence are major themes.
Premise: A mysterious, peaceful alien race discovers a prehistoric Earth. Instead of colonizing it, they leave behind sustainable color-coded energies that can convert into physical manifestations (energy into matter), such as armored suits, weapons and mechanized vehicles, through computer programming. The computer is constructed on an island in the North Pacific to function automatically and will activate during an alien invasion. Native inhabitants (humans) would be recruited to harness the energies and defend the planet from alien conquest: The Rangers. Through neuro-transmitting, all combat training would be instantaneous and piloting of vehicles would be directly through the motor cortex. If any threat compromises the integrity of the energies because of new technologies or a new invading species, then the computer program would reformat and recalibrate the energies to adapt to new threats. There are seven energies in all (white/pink/red/yellow/green/blue/black) and are electromagnetically attracted to each other. If any energy signature is disrupted and flung into space, they would fall into orbit and slingshot back to the other energies. The mysterious alien race that originally harnessed these sustainable energies never make an appearance, taking a neutral stance among the warring, rivaling intergalactic empires, but indirectly influence or even intervene with Earth's defense programming: lost energies return to Earth augmented or fallen rangers' DNA signatures would be extracted and cloned to return to duty, with no original memory of their organic lives; only through neuro-uploading will they regain functionality. There will always be a new threat to Earth and the Rangers program will always recalibrate and adapt to effectively defend the planet from invasion, even if the Rangers fall and are replaced.
